Vice President,
Customer Service

I work closely with our global customers to help them develop their seafood traceability journey. My role is to provide prompt service and listen to customer feedback. I then connect and share that with other team members in our company to improve our service and products.

I am from Japan and live in Yokohama, just south of Tokyo. Yokohama is known for its big port and, like Seattle, for its many hills. Minato Mirai is a famous tourist spot with many beautiful historical buildings where I like to walk on weekends.

I have seen how the seafood industry has changed and adopted traceability and sustainability practices over the past 15 years. I believe we are on the right path, and am honored to be a part of it. Who I am now is because of my amazing team. We support each other and continuously challenge ourselves. The people I work with are the most meaningful to me.

I have a spoiled, red-haired Dachshund dog. He always follows me wherever I go. Sometimes, I feel like I need a break, but if you look at him sleeping with his tummy up, I cannot stop taking photos! I want to thank him because he makes me go out for a nice walk, exploring every day.

I like to have a Temaki-zushi party with my family and friends at home on the weekend. Temaki-zushi is hand-rolled sushi where you wrap your favorite sashimi and vegetables in nori (seaweed).

I also prepare seasonal fresh fish from the local fish store. Sometimes, I discover new species that I have never had before! Seafood is easy to cook and fun for kids, too.

Director,
Customer Service

I work with our clients to educate, train, troubleshoot, and support our diverse accounts.

I work from the middle of the United States and have lived nearly my entire life completely landlocked. I think that’s why I dream of the ocean and spend as much time in coastal areas as possible!

I love what I do, and I build relationships with customers worldwide. I love using my ability to identify and create efficiency in processes. I love working in an industry where I learn something new EVERY DAY. I love that each day brings challenges to tackle and new people to meet. It’s an exciting time to be in the traceability world. As regulatory requirements evolve and change, I love being a cheerleader for our customers, showing them how Trace Registers solutions can help with things that seem overwhelming. I love working out how to explain complex ideas in easy-to-understand ways. Showing up for work every day is a true joy.

I kind of “fell” into this world of regulatory requirements by default, and once I started to get my bearings, I truly enjoyed many aspects of this work. Learning about the nuances of many requirements, gaining more knowledge, having my understanding tested, and feeling the necessity to stay on top of the latest information are all motivating factors for me. I hope to continue growing this aspect of what I do to provide more value to our customers and better understand the regulatory landscape and its challenges.

If you have known me for even the slightest amount of time, you know that my life outside work is consumed by being a single momma of two remarkable young children (ages 5 and 6). As a foster parent for years, I am passionate about advocating for the vulnerable and working with families facing enormous obstacles. It’s been my privilege to have had 17 kids call me “Mom.” Music is a staple in our family, and I’m always looking for ways to expose the kids to different types of music and cultures. Before parenthood, I spent years traveling and working with humanitarian groups worldwide, and I look forward to introducing my kids to all of the incredible things this world contains. We just got their passports and are itching to get their first visas and start putting stamps in them.

While I thrive on routine, the moments of spontaneous adventure are among my favorites. And a Coke from Sonic or a Cinnamon Dolce latte will go a long way if you want to be my favorite. 🙂

The best fish I’ve ever eaten was at “The Elephant Bar” in St. Louis years ago. It was a macadamia nut-encrusted Mahi-mahi with the most perfect mango salsa. I still have dreams about that delicious dish. The thought of it still makes my mouth water. A very close second runner-up would be a specific taco truck in Ensenada, Mexico, with the most perfect fish tacos I have ever eaten.

My responsibilities include training and supporting the users of Trace Register’s TR5 platform for their seafood product supply chains. I train new users how to set up their Master Data, create product supply chains, and send the transactions to their buyers. I help create XML data mapping and upload it into the TR5 system according to their supply chain needs. I also support existing users when they encounter problems or need help.

I constantly check the system for bugs, and if I find one, I report it to the customer service and development teams so they can quickly fix any problems. In addition, I provide general support to the customer service team and create training documents and materials for users and our team. I also support the sales team, contacting customers about their renewal or any sales issues as needed.

I currently live in Lampang, which is my hometown. It is a province in North Thailand near Chiang Mai, a well-known tourist attraction. Lampang is a historical city surrounded by mountains. It is famous for its ceramics industry and horse carriages. Lampang is the only province in Thailand where you can see horse carriages among cars in the town. I live in Muang Lampang, the main town, so it is convenient as there are a lot of big department stores, and the roads are smooth. It may not be as developed and convenient as Bangkok or Chiang Mai, but it is nice to live in Lampang as it is not very busy, and the cost of living is lower.

I like the flexible working environment at Trace Register best. It made it possible for me to return to my hometown to care for my father and mother, which is very meaningful for me.

After graduating, I worked in Bangkok. I like learning new skills and programs such as seafood knowledge, XML, SFTP, presenting tools, etc. When I first joined the TR team, I thought I might not be able to work in this role as everything was very new and far from my experience, but the support from my manager and team helped me to overcome those doubts, and now I can’t believe that I have worked at Trace Register almost two years. I always have opportunities to learn new things, which is challenging for me, too.

Before joining Trace Register, I obtained a bachelor’s degree in English and had working experiences in media, education, and international government. I am the youngest child in the family and have only one older brother. Currently, I live with my parents and niece. I am cheerful, polite, and can be a bit shy, but I can be very talkative with people I know.

My favorite pet is a dog, and I love animals. I have two pets: Brownie, a brown Pomeranian female, and New, a black and white female cat. I’ll take Brownie for a walk in my village every morning early and after work each day. I groom her at home every weekend, one of my hobbies. I also love cooking. Our family likes to cook together and have meals at home. We sometimes go out for lunch or dinner in restaurants. I love to go to the waterfalls or relax at the lovely cafes with my family. My future dream is to open a small, cute, pet-friendly café.

My favorite seafood dish is “Tom Yum Kung”, one of Thailand’s famous foods. It is a hot and sour shrimp soup made with lemongrass, chili, makrut (kaffir) lime leaves and Thai herbs. I like both Tom Yum Kung Clear Soup and Creamy Tom Yum Kung.

I am in customer service and work as a bridge between Trace Register and our clients. I provide training and support. I listen attentively to customers’ queries, concerns, and challenges and understand their needs. I can then offer prompt and appropriate solutions to ensure customer satisfaction. I am also a software tester with expertise in performance testing to assure software quality. I believe quality is the best policy!

I come from Nanning, in southern China. It is called the “Green City” because it has trees, various fruits, and lovely weather all year round. I work remotely, supporting the Asian and U.S. Eastern time zones.

Working for Trace Register in customer service and as a software tester is the best. I love challenges, and I consistently strive for self-improvement and professional growth. I actively participate and stay updated on the latest seafood industry trends, regulations, and products. This continuous learning in seafood traceability enhances my skills and enables me to support our customers better.

I like to stroll along the beach, listen to the sound of waves, and enjoy the beauty of the sea at different times, especially at sunrise and sunset. The vastness and deep blue of the ocean always bring peace to my heart. I hope human development can coexist harmoniously with the sea, and I hope our company can continue contributing to helping the seafood industry develop more sustainability practices.

China is a country known for its diverse and delicious cuisines. The seafood dishes I love are fried mantis shrimp with salt and pepper and steamed scallops with Chinese vermicelli and garlic sauce!

At Trace Register, I view my customer service role as a guide for our users’ experiences. I provide them with training and support, listen to them, answer questions, and help resolve issues to ensure they can navigate our platform seamlessly. Whether through online meetings, phone conversations, or emails, I find the best way to leverage my expertise so our users feel supported at every step.

I am Indonesian, but live in the bustling city of Bangkok, Thailand, and I work remotely. I support our valued Trace Register users in Indonesia, Malaysia, and select regions within the United States. Despite the geographical distances, I am committed to delivering exceptional service and bridging gaps while fostering solid connections with users across borders.

What I find most rewarding about my role is the opportunity to directly impact our users’ satisfaction and success. Whether I’m solving complex technical challenges or offering general guidance and assistance, the ability to positively impact someone’s day means a lot to me. I like building strong relationships with my customer support colleagues, enriching my professional journey, and creating a collaborative and supportive work environment.

For me, the opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life is where I find meaning. Whether I’m resolving complex issues or offering a friendly voice and listening ear, I feel it can leave a lasting impression on others.

I love to travel. Exploring diverse cultures and landscapes ignites a sense of curiosity and wonder within me. While I’ve had the privilege of traveling to various destinations in Asia, I hope to visit the United States and Europe one day.

Seafood is a favorite of mine! I love a delicious Thai specialty: a grilled fish dish with a salt crust and garlic-chili dipping sauce.

I have been at Trace Register for 14 years. I train and support customers. I also coordinate with other departments to conduct sales meetings under the supervision of our Vice President of Customer Success. I work with the team to write user guides and training materials. I also perform system testing to help developers identify and fix software bugs.

I live and work in Rạch Giá City, Kiên Giang Province, Vietnam. Rạch Giá is a provincial city and the capital of Kiên Giang Province, Vietnam. It is located on the Eastern coast of the Gulf of Thailand and is 250 kilometres (160 mi) southwest of Ho Chi Minh City.

I love working in an international environment with colleagues and customers from all over the world. I’ve learned a lot from people with different cultures and backgrounds. The most important aspect that keeps me here is the value this work brings to the world: responsibility, transparency, and quality. Before working at Trace Register, I didn’t realize the importance of being responsible for the food I buy. I’ve learned about seafood standards and traceability and how crucial it is to ensure the food we consume is traceable. I now understand the importance of being accountable in the supply chain. This job has taught me to be a responsible citizen, even regarding the food I eat. This value inspires me when meeting customers and training them.

I love nature and enjoy exploring the beautiful world. One day, I hope to travel to Japan to visit my friend and walk with her, watching the sunset like we used to do when she visited Vietnam long ago. There’s nothing more wonderful than experiencing nature with a good friend.

I love crab and fish. My favorite fish is Pangasius because its meat is soft and naturally sweet. Some popular Pangasius recipes to cook at home include Sour Soup, Grilled Pangasius with Mango Salsa, Pangasius cooked in fish sauce, and Pangasius Fillet with Garlic.
