Whole Foods Market: New Canned Tuna Standards and Traceability

In advance of the Seafood Expo North America, Whole Foods Market announced a new a canned tuna policy it will implement by Jan. 1, 2018. (See press release here)  Trace Register’s TR+ Analytics platform will help the retailer capture and verify key information about the sourcing, catch, processing and shipment methods used on tuna products, and verify that the company’s standards are being met.

Wild Planet Foods: Easing Importer Challenges

Like many processors and importers, Wild Planet Foods previously stored product information for their canned fish products (including tuna) in paper- or Excel-based systems.
